Behavioral Health Services (Mental Health Services)
The National Youth Advocate Program provides Behavioral and Mental Health services including:
- Assessment Services
- Individual and Group Mental Health Case Management Services
- Individual and Group Behavioral Health Counseling and Therapy Services
- Pharmacological Management
- Targeted Case Management
- Crisis Intervention
- Psychological Testing
These services are currently being provided to youth up to age 21 in the community, as well as those within NYAP’s Foster Care programs.
Youth receiving mental health services have eligibility based on medical necessity according to DSM-IV criteria and typically display significant at-risk behaviors.
Assistance and support in crisis situations is offered by NYAP staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through our Centralized Service Reception Team, toll free at:
